Police and rescue officials said the bus rammed into a roadside pole as driver applied emergency brakes to control the fast-moving vehicle. Due to the collision, the vehicle's door opened and a girl fell on the road. She was run over by the metro bus, they said. Police registered a case against the driver of the bus on complaint of brother of the deceased girl. Rescue 1122 took the dead body to DHQ mortuary. However, some eyewitnesses and sources said that Sumaira was standing near the window of the bus due to non-availability of seat when the driver lost control over steering and the bus collided with a roadside poll on metro track.
